Los Angeles: Anyone changed the name and oath ceremony was not in court house?

I wonder if anyone had requested name change on their n400, and were not scheduled the oath ceremony in U.S.District Court in LA?

My friend went to a court house for her oath in NYC. Someone here reported their oath was scheduled to a non-court place.

i wonder if the name change is needed to take place in court? or does it just have to be a judge to perform in the oath ceremony ?

A judge takes care of name changes at the ceremony. It does not have to be at the court house.

hope i won't have to wait for long for the oath after the interview (scheduled on 7/19 730am for now)

may be 7am-730am. i am not too sure thou. i tried to make an infopass appt and they showed me the first available appt was at 7:30am.

ocworker, i already replied you once but it looks like you missed the message. they are not going to schedule you specifically for the USDC in LA just becuase of the name change. my husband had a name change and had the oath ceremony in pomona last week. you will be scheduled for any location as normal.
