Hi All,

I recieved the million dollar worth email which I was waiting everyday with lots of pain to be completed !!

I hope this will encourage many people around here for their own namechecks to be completed soon.

Here is the reply format .. (if you are interested to see one ;-)

Dear XXX :

I am responding to your e-mail dated January 14, 2005, concerning your name check status.

A review of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI's) Name Check Program database concerning XXX revealed that this request was received from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on August 24, 2004. This submission was processed and finalized on August 19, 2005. The results were forwarded and faxed to the USCIS Headquarters, Washington, DC.

A review of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI's) Name Check Program database concerning YYY revealed that this request was received from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on August 24, 2004, and was processed and finalized on the same day. The results were forwarded to the USCIS Headquarters, Washington, DC.

Hi Sonpapdi,
Congratulations !! Hope you see the 485 approval emails soon too.

I believe you have not approached any congressman/senator for your namecheck, right ?

Also before this reply from fbinncp did you also get any other reply for the same email that you send on jan 14 with the status pending message ?

Well I did approach Senators both Boxer and Fienstein. But I think if you constantly ping / be in touch with FBI people in Washington then it will definetly yield good results.

Agreed. I had not contacted any Congresssman. I had sent a mail in Dec 2004 to the FBI. I got a reply in June 2005. I replied stating that no action had been taken for a year. I also sent a snail mail (registered letter) to Mr. Cannon. That seemed to have worked. They cleared it immediately and informed me by email.

Then I asked my company's lawyer to inform the BCIS about the name check clearance . They stated that the BCIS-FBI process is a well established one and it would happen automatically. [My co is a > $1 billion reputed Bay Area firm with 3-4000 employees]. It didn't.

So I sent an email to CSC XII informing them about the Name Check clearance. They replied back stating that they usually get notified within 45 days from the FBI. I waited for 2 weeks and then sent another mail to CSC XII stating that Mr. Cannon's mail had indicated that they had *forwarded* the results to USCIS and to do something about it. I received a response back stating that "some action would occur in 6 weeks".

I received my I-485 approval 3-4 days after that email. Now I have scheduled a biometrics appt in Oct. I hope to get the plastic cards after that process is completed.

Basically, nagging worked in my case. :-)

Hi Sonpapdi, Congrats ! I'm sure i've seen it on some threads, but don't remember offhand which one, anyways...could you post the email address for CSC12 ?

am exactly in the same boat. My name check was cleared on Aug 1st, but there's been no change to my LUD. I want to make sure CSC is in receipt of the name-check information.

My case is pending from 09/04 for Name Check pending. I'm asking some help of you.

1.Can you please post the Template/ Format to write to Senetor/Congrees for expedite Name Check?

2. I serch this site "Congress.org" and found out Senator Barbara Boxer, Senator Dianne Feinstein and Representative Michael M. Honda for my ZIP CODE. Can I write all of them ?

3. I saw one form on Senator Barbara Boxer's website: http://boxer.senate.gov/services/helpform.htm
There were some fields:

"Please provide any other tracking numbers relevant to your case, such as Veteran Case Identification number, CSA number, IRS number, INS number: ___" In this field which # I have to give?

"Federal agency you need help with:_________" In this field which agency I have to mention, FBI/ USCIS or BOTH of them?

4. With this form what other "supporting documents" I have to attach?

5. If I write for help to Senetor/Congrees then can my lawyer also make any inquery behaf of me to USCIS?

My replies below

See the main thing here is try everything that is possible. In my case I had to visit my parents regularly since one of my parent usually falls sick and I have to attend at some crucial points. Write up a genuine case if it applies for you and send mails to FBI. Usually make it certified and achknowledgeable. Once someone signs the recieved letter from FBI .. then you get the lead to whom you have to constantly ping and leave messages as detailed as possible. See this is what I adopted on almost every alternate days. Maybe they were either so pis_ed/annoyed or felt sympathetic/considerate/kind that they finally looked into my case. And this is what everyone wants right !!

>>Don't worry about senators. just follow the method described above. It is your lonely fight against the system. You have to face the hurdles and nobody will help you. Other(s) people helping is just a matter of peace of mind but doesn't mean to achieve your goal of clearing the FBI namecheck

>> Sure they can too. But usually the attorneys don't like to ping FBI at all. They will only contact USCIS
