Looking for some insight..!!

Hi there everyone, I`am new to this site..
I sent my I-485 forms off to the TSC back in June "99" and i got back a
Receipt (standard looking Photocopy) that said it was a receipt for my
I-485 appl to reg perm res or adj status. Dated 17/29/99.
Stating my name and Alien no.
since this date i have moved 3 times the last time out of state, on each occasion i have notifed, via the required document my address change and
recently renewed my EAD (08/21/00) in atlanta,GA.
I have noticed that people talk about an SRC # , i do not seem to have any
record of such a number , am i missing something ..????
Is there anyway that i can check my status , i tried the TSC number but it seems to always be down...
Any help would be much appreciated........Thanks

src number aka receipt number.. is a number given to all receipts issued, your receipt for I 485 should have it in the top part of the notice.
