Looking for Direction - My 2 years are ending!

hey all,

i haven't been on this site in almost 2 years. I am at work so instead of doing a lenghty search on here i was hoping someone could answer a few questions or at least point me in the right direction.

my temp green card is looking to expire the end of january. I was wondering what form i need to file and if it is just better/easier to do it through a lawyer. i consulted a lawyer 2 years ago and it was a piece of cake. i heard a lot of people that apply for their permanent green card aren't even asked for interviews.

Thanks for all your help already and I am looking forward to some replies...:)
 
wow i am a procrastinator. I sent in my paperwork today...lets see how long this process will take this time.
