Those who have applied in Buffalo:
The CIC in Buffalo has extended the 'you will hear from us' timeframe from 30 weeks to 40 weeks. This is the info I got from those that are just receiving their AORs.
Some other info that I wanted to share with everyone:
1) In 80 percent of the cases under the new rules, they are not aksing for interview-so your applications is either accepted or rejected.
2) English testing-either IELTS or CELPIP is mandatory (it doesn't matter if you are Shakespeare)
3) They want updates on your employment status. So it is a good idea to let them know of any changes to your experience since you applied, esp. if you have applied more than 12 months back.
4) Don't get your CAIPS notes until at least 12 months after your AOR date. It won't reveal much.
Hope this helps.
