Longer than 3 months that you got your shots for your pending visa?

The doctor called us today to inform us that we needed to come into the office to get an "updated shot report" as USCIS is sending people back to get this if the shot was given 3 months or more causing people to have to wait for a second interview.

We got the shot back in June'10, so we have to go get an updated, unsealed report to give to our interviewer even though they have the original sealed shot record.

Just thought I would give everyone a head's up :)

Sorry we got the shot back in April.

Sounds fishy. The regulations allow it to be up to 12 months old when submitted with the I-485, and I haven't seen anything about them reducing it to 3 months. Is the doctor going to charge you for the "updated shot report"?

Do you know of any examples of USCIS sending back people because the medical report is more than 3 months old? At the interview, did USCIS tell you to get an updated report? If not, then don't get it.

No the doctor is not going to charge us anything as he is only giving us an updated paper stating he got the shot in April. The doctor could care less but he is getting applicants stating this 3 month thing and USICS having them go to the doctor they got the shot from and submit it in their second interview. It could be because we live down here in the Rio Grande Valley which is at the bottom of the map where no body cares about the law? It is really corrupt down here.

You went to the interview and they didn't say anything about your shots. Don't waste your time going back to that doctor for anything unless USCIS tells you.

My interviewer mentioned that there was alot of doctors filing the forms incorrectly. I'm gonna suspect the same in your case. He was probably informed about the mistake and is trying to fix them.

Took your advise and it was never brought up in the 2nd interview.

Good to know. Thanks for the update. I took my shots and tests on March 30, and even though it does say 12 months on the form instructions, I was worried when I was reading the first few posts. But glad that this is not the case.

My opinion is that maybe the doctor wants to do their due diligence. I wonder if the USCIS will say anything about my medical forms, since the one used by my doctor was weird. The first page was the latest at the time, but subsequent pages were of previous edition. And right now, there is even a newer edition.
