Long shot...

Games programmer with 7 years experience
No proper education (well 12 years plus 3 years at university but no degree)

My claim would be:

*Part of a team which was nominated for a Bafta award
*Part of a team nominated for 3-4 other national/international awards
*2-300 reviews of the games I been working on, everything from web sites to New York Times
*The games has sold a few million copies
*Holding a senior but not critical role at a top company (and I mean top company)

It might look ok BUT in my industry people are very rarely mention by name. I can prove that I’m a part of the team making the game being nominated for the awards but the awards are for the team, not me personally. The same goes for reviews of the games, no names mentioned.

I guess it’s a long shoot but since I would not qualify for a H1-B due to my education maybe it’s worth a try? Would it just be a waste of money?

I only know, and I believe most people here know, EB1A, EB1OR, EB2-Labor, and EB2-NIW cases. Your credential doesn't qualify either of the above.
You might need to look at other channels. Consult (not only one) lawyers for options.
I suspect the chance of getting GC is slim, but that doesn't mean impossible. When there is a will, there is a way.

Cheers for letting me know :) Pretty much what I expected to be honest.
I'll continue to look for opportunities and maybe as you say contact a few lawyers to get their opinion on if I could qualify in any other categories (like the DV lottery ;)).
