extraordinary ability is defined as "a level of expertise indicating that the individual is one of that small percentage who have risen to the very top of the field of endeavor". This level of expertise is normally recognized in winners of international prizes and awards or those that can establish that they are nationally or internationally famour in their field of endeavor. You must submit additional evidence that demonstrates that the alien has sustained national or international acclaim and that this achievements have been recognized as extraordinary by others in field. Such evidence shall include evidence of a one-time achievement (that is, a major international recognized award), or at least three of the following:
(1) Documentation of the alien's receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or award for excellence in the field of endeaver (academic awards such as scholarships usually reflect only upon the beneficiary's abilities as a student)
(2) Documentation of the alien's membership in associations in the field for which classification is sought, which required outstanding achievements of their members, as judged by recognized national or international experts (Most professional associations do not require outstanding achievements of their members)
(3) Published material about the alien in professional or major trade publications or other major media relating to your field for which classification is sought. (Mere reference to the alien's work or inclusion of the alien's publications in bibliographies or footness is insufficient.)
(4) Evidence of the alien's participation on a panel, or indevidually, as a judge of the work of others in the same or an allied field of specializaiton (work as a reviewer for journals is generally not considered to have satisfied this requirement if such work is performed on an ad hoc bais, as is the case here)
(5) Evidence of the alien's original scientific, scholarly, artistic, athletic, or business-related contributions of major significance in the field (They cannot be considered of major significance if there is only a perceived or anticipated benefit)
(6) Evidence of alien's authorship of scholarly articals in the field, in professional or major trade publicationns or other major media (there shold be a substained history of first-authored publications in major publications.)
Note, the mere submission of three or more of the above items may not establish elegibility for this classification. The evidence must clearly demonstrate that the alien has sustained national or international acclaim and that the alien's achievements have been recognized as extraordinary by other in the field
Please help! All credentials are qestioned in the letter. I'm frustrated to see this result.
My credentials (11 journals in Biology, most in international journal, 5 in first author, 50 citations, 2 memberships, 1 review for an internationa journal, one international scholarship when I was a PhD student)
