Hi all,
My wife's case was transferred to Chicago local office back in June 2002. We did her first EAD renewal last year with the local office, and it went OK (got notice for interview about 3 months after our application was mailed).
We just filed her second EAD renewal, again with Chicago local office. We didn't do the online e-filing thing, as we didn't do it the first time. But today we just received this Receipt Notice from MSC (Missouri), and it also asks that she makes an appointment with the National Customer Service Center to appear at an Application Support Center to take her biometrics?? I thought that's only needed for e-filed EADs??
Questions:
1. Is this some new process at the local office now for EADs?
2. Does it mean we can expect to receive her card in the mail (as is the case for e-filed EADs to say NSC) rather than a letter from Chicago for interview?
3. Does it mean we can, and better do the e-filing thing for her next EAD renewal??
Thanks a lot. This is all very confusing and frustrating (my wife works out of town and we have to schedule her visit to the local offices carefully every time).
