Local Office Transfer - Where to Apply EAD/AP?

Here is my situation:
My case was transferred to local office (Boston) for Interview on 7th April 04. Only I got the

Interview letter. My wife did not get the interview letter (I assume her case is still with

VSC)

My current EAD expires in June 04 and my wife’s in May 04. Both our AP expires in July 04. If

everything goes well by GOD's grace, I could get the stamping on my interview date on 7th April

04.

I have read in this forum that people are waiting to be stamped even after the interview was

done due to background check, Visa # not available etc.. So to be on safe side, I would like to

apply for EAD and AP now for me and my wife.

But the question is Where should I send my EAD/AP package - to VSC? or to local office in

Boston? After the transfer, My case is in Boston. But my Wife did not get interview notice so I

assume her case is still in VSC.

So where should I send my EAD/AP package? To VSC? or where?

Gurus please advice? Also anyone who are in a similar situation or went through similar

situation please help.

Thanks

Apply at Boston Local Office. My friend did that and got on same day... Your wife may need to send it to VSC

Call NCSC and clarify where exactly your wife case located...

Good Luck...

Thanks for your reply. I will call NCSC and check where my wife's case is pending.

Did you friend just walked in to Boston Local office and got both EAD and AP on the same day? Please give some details.

Thanks

If Boston local office is so prompt in approving the EAD then you can get the EAD even after April 7th (after finding out if you are getting your passport stampted on that day or not). However, my experience with Philadelphia office is quite bad and if Boston local office is anything like Philadelphia I will apply at least three months in advance to ensure that I have a valid EAD when needed. The BCIS web page shows that the Boston local office has a lag of about 15 days in processing EAD as well as AP. It is very good comapred to local office standard. The question is if you are willing to take the risk. According to BCIS, Philadelphia local office had a delay of about two months for processing EADs. However, for my case it took them exactly 91 days.
