My interview went very well and it’s lasted around 10 minutes. My lawyer went with me but he didn’t need to say anything during the Interview.
The IO who takes my Interview was very Nice Lady. She took me her Office and Oath me first, then told me relax and sit down please.
Then she asks me can I see your Passport and Birth Certificate. FYI I also took my Travel Document, which is Valid until OCT 2006. But my Passport was expire. (Although I renew my Passport once after my Asylum was approved) So I put all the stuff on her table and she take a look all my document (Passport, T.D and Birth certificate) also I took 4 photos and she ask me can I take your Photo I told her sure. And she took all the Pic and Stapling that pic with different kind of form. Then she ask me how long you been here in USA? I told her 13 years. Then ask me did you ever travel outside of USA? and I told her NO and she say GOOD. (I never travel after my Asylum granted although I had Travel document all the time). The she ask me where I work? Also I told her I have Job Letter she say well can I have that.
Then she ask me question from my I-485 like all those NO answer. Then she asks my Recent Tax file. I took last 12 years Tax file with me beside that last 3 years Transcription from IRS. She says she doesn’t need all those but she took One IRS letter, which stated all last 12 years Tax report. She told me that good enough. The she ask me do I have a copy of me Passport and I give her copy of my passport. Then she confirm my Mailing address and told me don’t move or change my address. And I assure her I will not. Also she told me she can’t Stamp on my Passport cuz it’s expired. But in one page on the passport she wrote down (Date then NYC then some kind of code then Interview then my Alien No: and A S 6. and after that I believe that her Signature.
Also she asks me do you have a copy of Judge approval letter? I try to give her but then she find that Original approval letter in my I-485 file. So she didn’t take that approval copy from me.
And she told me I will approve your Case from here end of today and you will get your GC within 3 months.
No question about my Asylum or anything.
