I have filed athe AR-11 with the London, KY address.

Do we have to also send a copy of AR-11 to the local service center? IS it required?

No. AR-11 should be sent to the KY address.. However, if your case is pending at the local office, you might want to fill out a change of address form (different from AR-11). It can be obtained at your field office.
 
You would also need to call up the customer service number to inform them of the address change as sending an AR-11 alone is not enough.
