I'm a citizen and my wife is a pending perm resident due to my petitioning her. We are having problems getting a student loan for her because they want to see a greencard, i-20 or similar document that we don't have because she's either not a citizen or a foreign student. Without changing her status to foreign student how can I go about getting a student loan for her? I've co-signed her loan applications but they still want to see her documentation. She is in a grey area that is not favorable for her with the banks.
