Living in Hawaii - IT industry

any GC winner have experience living and working in Hawaii?
is there any IT industry there? was thinking about a job as a programmer/analyst. Hawaii would be nice!
 
Hawaii is not really a good place to work as a programmer. The IT industry in Hawaii doesn't grow as well as other States because Hawaii is a State where they are concentrate more on Agricultural and Tourism industries.

The only IT jobs that that can I see available in Hawaii are more into IT Technical Supports, IT Administrator. Not really in the programming side of IT.
 
Hawaii is pretty nice but a very expensive place to live. If you are just moving to the US I would strongly suggest you start out somewhere less expensive and less complicated.

You can always find an IT job in California. It is where most IT companies are located and many programming jobs available. Even though it is not Hawaii, at least it is the closest State to it. You can always go in vacation to Hawaii. Aloha! :)
