Live abroad while application in progress?

Hi,

I plan on applying for my citizenship on the 1096th day of residence as per the calculator, and then going on vacation, abroad. I do have a dozen or so trips abroad, totaling about 150 days or so of absence as per the calculator. I will be returning from vacation some 3 months later, spending less than 5 days in Canada, and then moving full-time to a job in the USA. I will be using a reliable Canadian address for processing, and can show up for the test + ceremony + any judge hearings if necessary.

I will remain a PR for *easily* 2.5 more years after the date of application (assuming the 2/5 year rule still holds) and so will still be a valid PR (albeit residing in USA) on the day of the citizenship ceremony (assuming processing takes 12-14 months, of course)

For what it's worth, there's no fraud, no mis-representation, no nothing -- I immigrated as a skilled worker, have plenty of documented proof for my 1095 days in Canada, etc. Also, my girlfriend/fiance is a canadian citizen by birth, and we expect to marry in 2-3 years, and the long-term goal is in fact to return to Canada and continue our lives ... it's just that I have a very lucrative job offer in the USA and it makes no sense to let it pass ... unless of course it will adversely impact my canadian citizenship application.

My questions:

1. Should I expect any problems? A hearing with a judge?
2. Can CIC *legally* refuse citizenship for now not maintaining physical presence on Canadian soil? Specifically, is "demonstrated intent to not reside in Canada permanently" a valid reason for CIC to deny my application?
3. Is the 1096th day too early to apply? Should I wait more?

Thanks in advance!
