Listing unmployment information on the N-400

According to the instructions: Begin by providing information about your current and most recent employment, studies, or unemployment, if applicable. Provide the locations and dates where you worked, were self-employed, were unemployed, or have studied during the last 5 years.

Why do they need the locations where the applicant was unemployed? That seems very weird. Anyway, so I am providing information that kinda looks like this:

Your Occupation: Unemployed

2. Employer Name: N/A

Your Occupation: Unemployed

3. Employer Name: N/A

Your Occupation: Unemployed

Does this look right to you? Or should I be lumping all the unemployment period into one entry (with no address)?

In your case..it should be one entry(with no address). That's how my wife filled the N-400 form.

The address section is meant for the address of your employer if you had one, not your personal address. So you just need only one entry for unemployment with the applicable date range but no address.
