Yeah update the SSN. But is it really essentail, I dont think so. And what is I-9?
[*]What do you do with your I-94
Keep it with you safely and return it when going out of the country. Only the I-94 that you got at the last port of entry in important, the other that you get with your renewed H1 are useless, but keep them just in case.
[*]How long can you stay out of country (New problem-- earlier, you had to fight to live here)
I believe it should be more than 6 months. I dont know why. Is it also true that the Citizen ship clock stops when you leave US and restarts when you re-enter?
[*]Any travel issues
This is the best part. No travel issues absolutely. You still have to get Visa for the counties that requires Visa for residents of the country you hold the passport. The exception here is Canada. Dont know about Mexico. Also no more transit visas.
[*]Do you now have to stand in Citizens/GCs line when you return to US
Yes
[*]Do you need a passport from your country to travel to Cananda, Mexico
Yes absolutely.
[*]What are the conditions and requirements for getting citizenship
5 years wait. I think the clock starts the day u get GC. It stops when u leave US and restarts when you enter.
[*]How long do u have to stick to your employer. Can u start a business
Leave immediately and start a business. Let the GC do some work for you now and you enjoy life of freedom and endless orgies.
[*]What about those who changed jobs b4 GC using AC21.
there is absolutely nothing to worry about. The AC21 protects you from everything. Actually I believe people should use the Ac21 before they get the GC. If you get the GC and you have not used AC21 then you are not protected by that rule, and may be found in violation of the spirit of GC.

Do you have to carry Green card with you always?

That is what the GC approval says....but I am afraid, I might lose it if I have to carry it all the time for the next 5-10 yrs... So what is everyone who got GC doing???
