Hi,
I am an LIFE act applicant (Originally applied under LULAC on 1989). My I-485 is still pending and I had couple of interview with INSand I have work authorization card. Recenetly I had to travel to my home country (India) to visit my mom whom was really ill. When I left US, I had travel document which was to expire in Sept 23, 2003. My health went terribly wrong i had stay with her for longer than my travel document permitted. Now I am tryng to get back to US and continue my LIFE applicant status. I have the work autherization card which is valid till next year. . I always had legal status under LULAC/LIFE untill the day I left US and I still considered as an legal alien. Since my travel document I-32 expired already, I can't get back to US. How do I get an re-entry permit or how do I conitnute my LIFE applicant staus from ourside US ? If my application approved, do I still qualify for the permanent residency and how do I get it once it approved ?
I would appreciate if you have any suggestion.
Thanks,
Sam
