hi, if you are eligible for the LIFE act but your priority date will not be available for awhile should you just apply now because i heard it would take a long time to be approved. and if anyone has applied AOS with the help of the LIFE act i ask that you please just describe the process so that i can get an idea of it. im still not 100% sure about the LIFE act so i'm asking for help.

would depends on which category you in ...

I`m adjusting my status also under the LIFE act 2000 , it took me 4 years to have my petition approuved and some month to have a visa number available for my priority date which was april 30th 2001.
I`M NOT SO SURE about which category you are , but it was the family base 2A for me , and i was qualify to adjust status under 245(i) . I do not think that you could file for adjustment package before your petition had been approuved and a visa number is available to you . I hope it helps .

well my I-130 petition was approved Aug. of 1997 and my priority date for when my time has come to recieve a green card is on Aug. of 1997 on the Visa Bulletin. i am under the 4th section, on brothers and sisters. i am the beneficery of the I-130 petition of my mother who's sister is a citizen and applied my mother, my father, and myself. since my priority date hasnt arrived yet on the Visa Bulletin do you know if i should apply for the LIFE act right now to adjust my status in the future or is it to late all together. is the LIFE act over now and no one can apply. i grew up here and i'm entering my jr. year of highschool so i'm hoping i can adjust status here w/o going abroad. i came here on a visitor visa and i stayed so i lost my status. thanks for replying.
