Level of preadjudication in 485?

All we know that, NSC is doing pre-adjudication on 485 application, though visas are not available. Now the question is, What is the level of pre-adjudication? I mean, once it is pre-adjudicated, Is the approval of 485 automatic (computer generated) , once PD become current? Will they stop sending FP notice after pre-adjudication? Can we assume that it is a temporary approval if everthing is alright, and just they are waiting for visa numbers to send the card?

I have recently received RFE on my 485 (EB2-India, RD may 2005). If I reply to the RFE, can I assume that NSC took the decision on my case and it will not be opened again and I will get card in hand once PD become current (provided my name check is cleared)?

I believe that making any assumptions on our parts about what scheme USCIS may cook in future is not very prudent. They want us to play the waiting game and that is pretty much all that we can do. My 2 cents.
