I wrote a letter to senator asking him to look into my case as haven't got FP notice yet. Filed 485 in oct 2002. No Fp notice yet.
I got a letter from the senator saying they are looking into the matter...is it a common occurence of getting a reply from the senator? Is it a standard letter...or they are doing something....would appreciate if people who sent letters to a senator share their experience with me....:(

From Senator Feinstein's office, it is normal that one would receive the acknowledgement like you have got. (same for me).

After about 3 weeks I got another letter that my FP2 would be rescheduled in the next 60 days.
It is now 90 days and I have not yet received the FP2 notice.

Good luck.

Make rain fax inquriy to CSC, or make an appointment to see USCIS officer via Info. I think it is the best way to get answer.

Do you haven any LUD on you case? Please let me know it. If you have LUD, you can expect something on your case, but make an appointment if you do not have LUD on you case.

As far I know, senator enquiry has some impact on the cases. INS has to open your file and reply to senator.. this way. u get a chance to make them relook at the file, instead lying somewhere unnoticed.

Infact I faxed the letter to senator's office on tuesday, but wednessday i got the FP notice, so I called them not to send any enquiry.

good luck!
