Find your senators and/or congressperson there and then find contact info of their "case work" office. They should have a form you are supposed to sign on about disclosing your private information, so fill it out and send/fax/take it to their office with a letter.
In our letter, we just asked for their help to obtain reliable information and explained our current situation.
