Letter To Laura Bush worked.... Just got approved.... :)

was stuck in name check for almost 2 years now, wrote a letter to Mrs Bush in Dec and got a letter on Thursday 8th Feb from FBI saying your letter directed to Mrs. George Bush concerning your name check was forwarded to Department of Justice and subsequently referred to FBI for reply on January 5th 2007, a review of our database revealed that your request was received from the USCIS on feb 28th 2005. the submission was processed and finalized on Nov 27th of 2006.

I called Uscis on Friday morning saying i got a letter from FBI that my name check was processed and finalized in Nov.... the lady put a note on the system mentioning i got a letter from FBI and told me to wait for 30 to 45 days for a reply.

the same day my LUD changed and was approved on Feb 10th 2007.

Now the message says:

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On February 10, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

how the letter had effect if u r saying that u sent it in december although fbi says that ur name was cleared in nov? this is weird.

second can u provide me with a copy of the letter u sent to miss bush? did u attach to it anything?

I called Uscis after i received the Letter from Fbi, this goes to show how Uscis works they must have had the reply on my name check since Nov and did nothing, and when i called them saying i got a letter frm Fbi that it was cleared in nov... i was approved the next day

ya but what i understand is that miss bush didn't help in clearing ur namecheck. ur namechekc was cleared before contacting mrs bush. mrs bush interference just got you the reply from fbi that ur name was cleared simply. just to be clear. thks

yah... and i am sure that letter from Fbi did trigger my Approval, if i had not called after the letter they would have taken their own sweet time.... and I would have been under the impressing that name check has not cleared yet….

i wrote to her, my local congressman and Rick Perry in mid of December got a reply from Rick Perry’s office in a week saying contact my local congressman and they cannot do anything,
the Letters I wrote to all 3 was some time mid of dec, and letter from FBI mentioned they received the request for reply on Jan 5th, and FBI letter’s to me was dated January 24 but I got it in my mail on Feb 8th….

As someone reminded, your NC had already been cleared before your letter arrived to the White House. However, you were lucky to get your second FP notification in October; otherwise it may take additional time for you to receive the card.

By the way, where did you call, the National Customer Service Center or TSC? Did the representative say your case is still pending due to the security checks before you told her you got a letter?
