hello all,
about a month or so ago i found a thread here. it had a letter an asylee could send to Aguirre (the head of CIS) just to raise awareness about the RTD length issue. So I printed it, signed it and sent it. Last week I received a letter from an assistant of Aguirre writing to thank me for my letter and stating that my RTD application case has been pulled out of regular que and is being reviewed. In the letter I sent i never asked for it. The letter was only about how RTDs last too short and that CIS should consider making them being valid for longer time. I checked my case online and nothing changed. I can imagine that this will only prolong my waiting for RTD since the one I had still did not expire.I wanted to let you know and advise you to think twice before writing to CIS as they really have organizational problems.

Yes they do. And everybody knows about it.

You will be blacklisted now..NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!(if you know seinfeld)...!Everytime you enter U.S, USCIS will make you sing the national anthem while riding the bagage escalators..round and round..to make it worse..you also have to strip down to your underpants...!

So before writing to USCIS think Twice!!

well, now i at least have a name and an address of a real perosn to whom i plan to write about our problems with RTD length. it is always better to be proactive :)

This actually is not a bad development if they have at least responded to individual letters. It is very interesting that the Director's Office has not yet responded to the Steering Committee's formal letter. The agency may have a lot on its plate and our request may be deemed "too luxurious." On the other hand, I agree with your sentiment that we need to remain proactive.

Cheerio
