Letter from Client Company

One of my freind was suggesting this idea. If you are working as a consultant at a client location and your I485 process is pending for long time, then you can get a letter from your supervisor/manager(client) mentioning that they have a HR rule stopping them from hiring the consultant because he/she does not have green card even though they are interested to hire for permanent position.

Sumbit that letter to INS and it may speed up your process.

Do anybody knows about this? Does it have any negative impact? The person who was suggesting this had submitted similar kind of letter and he got his green card approval.

Please suggest.

How long ago did this person submitted this letter and when was he approved and what are his ND/RD?

You better talk to a lawyer regarding this. I don't see how it can hurt your case. It maybe be possible that after you send this letter the USCIS will ask you for an interview, and the immigration officer will try to make double sure that you still have the job.
