Letter for fluency in English

I wrote a very simple letter stating that the medium of instruction in my school ( 12 years ) was english, the medium of instruction at university ( 4 years) was english and that i was working for a company where business is conducted in english. I refereed my transcripts and letter of employment which were in english. I ran the grammar and spell check for the document. I had this notarized before sending with my application.
By the way when did you apply and what is your file number and have they asked for this letter as additional documents. Will help me understand how long it would take me.

My case is long and frustrating,
applied Jan 2002
file number april 2002, and after that its been lots of nonsense of just wating
got a letter in may 2003 case trasfered to michigan
and now jan 8 to send my papers based on the new rules so have to resend everything.
PLanning to post all the papers to michigan now....

Thanks for the response about taking 2 years from the USA. However i think that its a lot faster. In nov 2003 they were processing July 2002 cases per their site, In dec/Jan it changed to processing Nov 2002 cases and today their site says they are procesing Jan 2003 cases. I know that it takes 6 months or so for medicals etc.
Detroit centre site gives more details, cases received in Nov 2003 are listed as waiting scheduling interview

I always browsed the buffalo site and never did actually go on the detroit one, that one gives more info and mine seems to be in queue for interview, i guess my time line is longer coz of the change of rules, hope urs works better than mine, the wait is frustrating but i guess am hanging in there.

For English Proficiency: I got the letter from my university that said that I studied 9 years at that university and the medium of instructions and teaching was strictly English.
In my case it worked good I guess.
