Lets take action, participate in Backlog reduction for cases pending before JIT

immigartionportal.org started its next campain to take on backlogs reduction.
This time the target is to bring notice to Congress Persons about the plight of our fellow members whose RD/NDs are well below JIT date but yet to be approved.

So all those whose RD/ND dates are below JIT date please sign up at the above thread. We are looking for atleast 50 people from each Service center.

Lets make our voice heard.
 
USCIS and backlog/pending definitions

According to their latest report, they distinguish between backlog and pending, if visa is unavailable then it does not count as backlog; if visa is available then it is pending if it is within the targeted processing date, but it becomes backlog when it is pending longer (more than 21 months for I-485 for instance). In this way one gets very optimistic statistics - some of it very untrue such as I-129s (waiting time only 1,5 months!!!)
