Let's stand up against the lawuit! It will ruin all pending cases!

I am with you

I am with you. Can we do something like
1) sending emails to AILA
2) make a common link here to protest and then sending the link to AILA

swas: AILA doesn't really give a damn about our discouraging emails or our protests. The only thing that will hurt their lawsuit will be for their clients to withdraw from the lawsuit. From what I understand, AILA isn't filing the lawsuit on behalf of itself. It needed plaintiffs (regular applicants like you and me) to file the lawsuit on behalf of. God knows what those guys were thinking when they agreed to sign on - must have been caught at a wrong time when they were still pissed off about the bulletin update.

maronned

I agree AILA does not give a damn about us. But at least the plaintifs should understand whom they are supporting. Out protest will unmask AILA.

It all Depends on Them the USCIS..

It all Depends on Them the USCIS..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can do interpretation in many ways.. but finally they USCIS and there useless procedures.. only do the work..

and now AILA one more tangent to the whole thing.. they cant just shut up there Axxx and keep quite ? already things are in mess and these people.. make it more messy..

AILA has many Lawerys in there team.. and they dont have any brains to use? now it is ok.. AILA will put a law suite against USCIS.. but later they are not thinking that USCIS are the people.. who process there applications.. and USCIS can hold or can do any thing on the new applications for ever.. right? and then AILA will not fight for any thing.. and keep quite.. and listen what ever USCIS say.. That check this check etc etc.. for applications ( as they would have got there Fees ) and reply back to applicants the same.

AILA wants to make some fast bucks and screw up all the applications at USCIS both Old and New ones..

Horrible.. AILA and any way.. I-485's are Indivisual Applications.. yeah.. only people who know to read and write can handle themselves.. I know there are people who go to AILA Lawyers..

Any way it is Fun here also.. to watch..

I have forgot about my GC and dont know when this comes also.. will watch fun..

Dr. Rice's statement

the lawsuit has slim chances of success. DOS had visas and they were exhausted. Dr. Rice has stated their position.

Taking conservatively, about 100 K applications would have flooded USCIS in July. Including dependants with EADs, APs & receipts, this would mean processing upward of half a million applications stalling existing cases and leading to unprecedented delays.

First, let USCIS process the existing 485 backlog for the past several years and clear them, before worrying about newer applications.. If not the priority date can be moved slowly, so that they don't bite off more than they can chew.

Why is the Murthy Law Firm not filing the lawsuit?

The Murthy Law Firm has a few reasons that we are not filing the lawsuit.

The Murthy Law Firm’s focus is the exclusive practice of U.S. immigration law. We are not litigation specialists. Our first thought was to partner with a litigation law firm to file the class action lawsuit. Almost immediately, however, we learnt that the American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) was going to file the lawsuit. AILF has the experience to successfully file lawsuits against the government in the area of U.S. immigration law. AILF also has the reputation for taking on only cases that they believe have a potential valid legal claim, and to seek justice with no commercial gain for themselves, whatsoever. As a member of the Board of Trustees of AILF, Attorney Murthy has been in regular communication with AILF during this time of difficulty for you. So we at the Murthy Law Firm are working closely with AILF to ensure that the immigrant community’s interests are being protected.

Another important reason for not undertaking to organize this suit ourselves, is that it is our understanding that law firms filing lawsuits against the government will have their clients’ cases scrutinized, with individuals and employers receiving many more requests for evidence (RFEs), etc. So, in the interest of our clients, we believed it was best for us to work closely with AILF to better serve you and protect your interests.
