Here is a story ...

I applied my 485 on 2nd May 2002 - WAC-02-176

As of last week there are about 20,000 (19974 to be precise) I-485 applications that were applied before me & yet to be approved.

I have been watching Kashmeer data from last 5 months.
CSC is approving on average of 10 applicatons per day - I did not include the approvals for those who have applied after me.
For the sake of simplicity, I assumed processing is done 7 days a week.

Based on last 5 months data, CSC will approve my application on Oct 2009 (no its not a type - its 2009)

if they start approving 20 applications, I will get it in Aug 2006
if they start approving 30 applications, I will get it in Sep 2005
if they start approving 40 applications, I will get it in Apr 2005
if they start approving 50 applications, I will get it in Dec 2004

Before you start dreaming of your approval in 2004, consider this:
- in Jun 2003, CSC was approving on average of 15 applications per day
- in Aug 2003, CSC was approving on average of 12 applications per day
- in Nov 2003, CSC is approving on average of 9 applications per day
and the trend is very clear - DOWN !!!!!!

So assuming the current average remains the same (9 per day), I will be getting my GC in OCT 2009.

ummmm ....... do you have any hopes ?

blackmail again !?

> I have been watching Kashmeer data from last 5 months.

Thank you so much.

> ... the trend is very clear - DOWN !!!!!!

Yes, you're right.

> do you have any hopes ?

Yes, I do.

Please participate in the latest focusing activity of Project Ocean.
I believe the first week of December is very important for the campaign,
so I don't care even if you think my campaign as "blackmail".

lareds,
your receipt states processing time is up to 999 days which is roughly 34 month. And it is March 2005 for your ND.
Recent promises by CSC to keep backlog within 12 months indicate they and everybody else is aware of the problem and they are at least trying to solve it, so, we can expect actual backlog to be somewhere in between 24 and 34 months :).
BTW, if you have any forecast or stats of your own, do not hesitate to post in this thread
