Bring to top. RFE applicants, please select your job category. We'll know what job is more suspicious to BCIS officers.

RFE chances does not depend on job type. It depends on sponsoring comapany, candidate's qualifications ,documentation submitted and the IIO's mood

I saw somewhere that officers give RFE to system administors, database administor and telecom companie employees. That's why I post this poll.

One thing very flawed with your poll - you are assuming that all the jobs you've listed have an equal number of people working and visiting here.

Obviously there is no one under "QA for Financial Sector" as there might be less people here in that line than say "Consultant"

I have seen some of my friends cases getting RFE on employment verificaion, W-2 for years of filling I-485 and the next remaining years and last few pay stubs: They fall in one of the following categories:

1. Applicants with company declaring layoffs in the recent times (Past 2 - 3 years).
2. Applicants who filed by themselves (Not by company lawer).
3. Applicants with reduced salary reported to IRS tax returns.
4. Applicants working with a smaller companies (less than 100 employees).

Options posted in the poll has nothing connected with likely getting an RFE.

The information I provided is statistical as I observed with my friends and colleages getting RFE.

One of my friend's name (He is in H1B) was wrongly entered at port of Entry by Immigration official had problems in getting Fed Tax refund. He was called three times by Social Security local office and once by BCIS local office. I came to know that BCIS, SSA, IRS share their data for Aliens from him.

dengdeng, if you are more intrested, do more analysis with the people reported RFE. Also, post another poll with points that generates RFE. BCIS is not bothered on the technical or business area of the applicant.

If BCIS can access your W-2s, why they are so stupid to issue RFE to everyone. They should be able to get the information
themselves and stop issuing RFE.

Data Sync. between BCIS and IRS may happen once in a year. If the reported wages in last year is lesser then the one posted in labor, BCIS may like to see the latest one before making a decision. Its may be a complex decision and BCIS may likely to see the most recent wages.
