started to pour in and I am happy for the fact that all of us here who are pending have at least a tiny bit of chance to be approved sooner rather than later based on the wide range of cases INS/BCIS/USCIS (any name you want to call it) is processing !

:) :)

Dude,
wake up (or) correct your watch if it's still showing the date as April'1st. The daily numberof approvals are just a fraction of number of new applications being added daily. Don't call it a 'pour' unless you see 50 approvals per day in this forum.

Dude

At least they are more than what we are "used" to seeing and i am also looking and comparing to daily Rupnet approvals

Dude

Not pouring but some progress

There is a small reason to be optimistic even though the approvals are not pouring in but still we are getting 3-5 approval threads a day.

Which is not bad, thinking that nothing was happening couple of weeks before so there is some slight positive progressive movement.

I feel that all the theories in making out how USCIS work are senseless only thing which depends is when is your LUCKY day and it may be today.

Rupnet Yesterday 12 approvals posted and today 7 so that is a good improvement.

That's just my point.

I am trying to change my prespective an go by the following "Think positive and the rest will follow."

What is relevant is- are approvals more than new applicants. If that be the case we would be losing ground.
I would easily guess- more people apply than are getting approved. Rupnet has for a given month approx 400 applicants- but 400 are not getting approved in any month.

I prefer to see report generated from actual CIS, VSC data. So I'll wait for sbctsublc's report till weekend.

My opinion.

Based on the reports which some folks like sbctsublc's put together, INS processes some 1.3k 485's every week. This includes approvals/transfers etc.. My 485 was filed in Dec 2002. There are around 37K 485's remaining from Jan 2002 to Dec 2002(again borrowing from the reports). So approximately it will take about 28.5 weeks or 7 months for INS to reach my 485 if they proceed as per FIFO logic. Since none of us know for sure the inner workings and logic behind INS operations, who knows how long it will take?

I should also add that a co-worker of mine who filed his 485 in Sep 2002 got his approval last friday.
