Let us track EAD after July 20

Wait for EAD

My lawyer filed our EAD on Aug 12. Still didn\'t get it. My wife got laid off last week. It\'s impossible for her to find a new job without EAD. What is the best answer in job hunting when the headhunter asked her: what is your status?

I485 Filed on 7/23/01 no Receipt yet

I filed 485 on 7/23 , no recept yet..My lawyer says that they Might
get delayed a week or so because of the tragedy...keep your fingers crossed..I will update as soon as I get mine...

My friends who filed on 7/15 got their recepts on 9/10, I haevn\'t heard from anyone who got receipts after that 9/11 incident..
 
What\'s the difference EAD and 485

From what you said , I understand that you guys have already got the recept from INS and applied for EAD and waiting on that..Is it true..
or you guys are still waiting got receipt..

Because EAD you can get it same day IF you goto the local INS office...
 
EAD

We file EAD at VSC instead of Newark local office. I was told it would take 60-90 days to get EAD from Newark office, that is why we file it at VSC.
