Leaving US for personal work after I485 approval

Can a person who has recently (One month ago) got his I485 approved leave US and come to india for a fortnight on a personal trip.If he can, then what are the documents required to reenter US. He hasnt received his plastic green card yet? His legal status has been changed to GC or permanent resident. Kindly help

Have you received your approval notice? As you did not get your plastic card yet, you need to go local district office with that approval notice and get a temporary I-551 stamp in your passport. That is equivalent of your plastic green card and can be used for re-entry in USA.
