Leaving the country during the process for US citizen

I got married recently on US citizen. We do the paper work without layer.
My husband travels a lot. I wonder if there is a period of time when he couldn't leave the country during the process.

Also,
Can I leave the country any time if I get I-131 approval?

Your husband is a US citizen? Then he can leave the US as much as he wants.

But you leaving the country without jeopardizing your GC process depends on a number of factors. What is your immigration status?

US citizen can travel as often as they want, except you can't until your GC process is complete. If you previously overstayed a visa, then I would advise you against traveling on I-131, in the age of terrorism and Arizona buffonish immigration law, I rather stay in the US until issued a Greencard. If you husband is on travel or expected to be on travel during your schedule interview, then you might request a rescheduling, but will delay a process. If there's no pressing need for you to be overseas, stay in Uncle Sam and workout, so that when your husband gets home, you can have a midnight funk for days...lol!!!
