My spouse needs to travel to India for an emergency on an approved AP which is valid till Sep. We are also planning to file for a new AP (we are within 120 days of the expiration of the current AP).
Is this ok for wife to travel and come back on the existing AP (before its expiry) while the new AP is pending?
(we are not intending for her to utilize the new AP since that might be approved while she is out of country)
The question really boils down to -what happens to her (to be) filed AP (petition) while she is out of the country?
