Leaving Canada - questions

Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone can shed a little light on some citizenship questions that I have:

1. My family and I have been very happy residents of Canada for almost 4 years now. In order to secure the future possibility of moving back to Canada, we have just recently applied to become citizens. Question: Is it possible to move outside of Canada once a citizenship application has been submitted?
2. Following up on above, is there a way to officially become non-residents? I am asking this as we are moving away from Canada, and will be residents of another country, and thus should not pay Canadian personal income taxes. If there is an “official” way of giving up the right to be residents, will this affect our citizenship applications?
3. Assuming that the above two questions are possible, we will not have a right to come back to Canada using our PR card. Should we apply for a normal visit visa to come to Canada when we have to take our test and oaths?

If anyone can help me out in answering any of the above questions, it would be greatly appreciated. And I apologize if the above topics were already covered in other discussions.

Thank you!
