I am presently on OPT. My employer is applying for my H1B this April. I want to get the paperwork completed so that my application is ready to be filed on 2nd April. However, I came to know that LCA cannot be obtained from DOL before six months of the start of employment date. My employment will start from 1st Ocober (earliest start date for H1), whichmeans that LCA cannot be obtained before 1st April. Is this true? What are my options?
