Hi,

My company lawyer had filed a labor certification for me earlier this year to Virginia SWA. I know the wait time is very long. But just wondering how people check the status of their application (via online/phone)?

The lawyer sent me a copy of the letter that the SWA had sent us after receiving the application. This letter has a 8 digit case number, date of receipt and a number to contact them (although they cautioned not to contact them unless it is extremely urgent). The number that they had provided is always busy whenever I dial it, just wondering whether there is any other number or online method to check the status. Based on the processing time, I don't expect my application to be approved any time soon :mad:

What is your receipt date? Mine is an RIR case with a receipt date of April 24, 2003. (filed at Virginia VEC). They are currently processing cases with a receipt date of April 1, 2002. You can call the following 804 number:
