Hi all,

The SF DOL notified my attorney that they received my application from NEVADA SWA on 03/21/03. Is this supposed to be my RD ?? I am also wondering if DOL was supposed to send a case number. I have a MS in Comupter Engineering but my category is EB3. According to my attorney, the DOL category follows the job requirement and not the applicant's level of education. According to my Job description (Firmware Engineer II), a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required with a minimum of 2 years experience or a MS in the same fields. Do you guys see anything wrong? and which EB category has better approvals? Thanks in advance!

RIR:
Filed with NV SWA (SESA) on 06/10/2002.
NV SWA --> SF DOL on 02/28/03.
SFDOL case date: 03/21/03.

Yes

It depends on the individual Regional DOL center. BTW, we never got any letter/notice from Philly DOL regarding case.

Your attorney is right.

Seems normal to me. Check in thread, which corresponds to your regional DOL center, and see the approval rate in your category/DOT code.

which EB category has better approvals?

Each and every category has advantages and disadvantages. It all depends upon stated job requirement and beneficiary qualification/education.
