LC issues with company merger/acquisition

Hi,

I have a pending LC application and the company I work for has been acquired by a bigger corporation. What happens to the LC application ? Is it necessary to restart the LC application or would the current one be still valid ?

Any input will be highly appreciated.

If it is acquisition then it should be valid. Not sure of how merger works!
