LC->GC->CP with two companies

Please help me to answer below scenario.

I am working for Company A now.
Company B will sponsor my LC and GC for the
future employment. I would like to take
Consular Processing for my GC, sponsored by Company B.

Question1:
Can I have my LC and GC via CP without joining Company B?
( I will join Company B after I get GC via CP)
Or,
Should I work for Company B for GC if I will take CP route?

The documents filed with USCIS for sponsoring an employee are for future employment. Therefore, you can start working for the sponsoring company after the immigrant visa gets approved.
