LC from Iowa

I am a new bee to GC processing. Need your help.

my New employer has agreed to process my GC from Iowa. As of my knowledge it will take 8 mths ( 2 State and 6 Fed) to get the LC. My 6 yrs (on H1-B visa) will be over by May 2005. In best case, LC from Iowa, will be clear by Mar, 2005. Is it possible to get extension to stay after May 30th. I was out of US for 2 mths in last 5 yrs. Will that help.

Has your labor applied before May 2004 ?? If yes then you can get 1 year extensions of your H1B... if not apply ASAP & hope for the best that you get your LC certified before May 2005... Once you get your LC, file I-140/I-485 concurrently & you are good to go.
