Hello Everyone,
After a long long wait my LC from Atlanta was approved today.

I will be completing my 6 yrs on H-1 . Is there any beneficial reason why I should apply for 7th year extension?

Also can anyone inform me the pro's and con's of concurrent / semi-concurrent filing ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Buddy,

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I knew you from ATL DOL forum.

As long as soon have all documents for filing I485 with you, go for concurrent filing. No added benifits of filing semi-concurrent.

Good part of it is that, I140 and I485 will be adjudicated at same time NOW. this does not necessarily mean immediate/sooner, but defnitely better than earlier I485 time frames.

Wish you good luck. And joing the frustated TSC tracker forum.

a small advise

I am with Law office of sheela murthy(LOSM).

I dont know the exact Reason behind semi-Concurrent,but a paralegal from (LOSM) mentioned that it would be better to mention u r I 140 receipt number in I 485 application.

so she first filed 1 140 and after i got the receipt #(1 Week),she applied for I 485.

talk to u r lawyer once..

good luck.

1. Sure you should file for H1b extension - if your case is denied you will still be in status.

2. There is no advantage of filing 'semi'- concurrent. You only loose time - file in one go.

Texas Consolidated I140 Tracker

We have many threads running for Texas I140 and I485 cases. Don’t you think we can save time and efforts by posting only to one thread for all our questions and concerns for I140 and I485? I propose "Texas Consolidated I140 Tracker" to be the common thread. Do you agree with me?

RE: Pashwin 140/485 concurrent filing

Pashwin, this is ATL01 from Atlanta DOL tracker. My LC was approved too on 4/30/2004 after 3 years waiting.

Now this is what I read from Murthy Chat.
Chat User : In the new process, I-140/I-485 concurrent filing starting April 30, 2004, will the process be the same for getting EAD and AP?

Attorney Murthy : The process should be the same for now, though the backlog reduction plan with the pilot program in Dallas, Texas is that the EAD and AP will not be issued since the person's I-485 could get approved within 60 to 90 days and eliminate the need for the EAD or AP! For now, though, the plan in other areas is to process the EAD and AP under existing laws and regulations.

My questions:
1. Does this Dallas Pilot program covers all cases filed after 4/30/2004 in the Texas jurisdiction, meaning Atlanta folks are included? I certainly don't wish to be left out from this "fast track train".
2. Does it mean Dallas is not issuing EAD / AP any more?
3. What if after 90-day without EAD/AP, can I go to Atlanta INS to apply for EAD / AP?

Yes, let us keep one single Texas 140/485 concurrent filing Tracker. I would appreciate it.

Hi,

I'm about to join a company which is processing my labor(future employment). Once the labor is approved, I will join the company. How long do I have to wait for applying the 140 & 485 after joining this company. Do I have to wait to submit the paystubs for few weeks? If I apply immediately without any paystubs, does it have any effect on the applications. Please let me know.

Thanks,
cooldude2k4.
