LC and promotion, need help

I have a question about job promotions during the LC process:
I started my LC process (RIR) just a short while ago and there might be the possibility that I might get a job promotion in the nearer future. My title would change from "Scientist II" to "Senior Scientist I" but my job duties wouldn't change too much. It is more a recognition of experience by working for the company for a while. Do you think that this change in job title could generate problems with my LC process ? Or is it be enough if HR would write a letter later that the job duties didn't change ?

Thanks for your help.

Since 1998 I have been working as Project Manager (on papers), but H1B to LC processes, external correspondence say Software Engineer.
I think it corresponds to your question.

I spoke to my lawyer recently about a similar issue. He said as long as the job responsibilities dont change too much like becoming a manager from software engineer promotions are okay.
