Layoff -please respond.

I was laid off by my company 2 days back. My 180 days ends in June. Although, my company laid me off they will keep me in payroll till June (until 180 days are over).

I have my EAD/AP.Service center :VSC
I have the following 3 questions.

a)Can i start working on my EAD now itself or should i wait for 180 days to get over?

b)Once i join a new company with similar job description, can i start processing H-1 although i started in EAD? In other words can i shift to H-1 from EAD?

c) In the above scenario is it possible to start a new GC process (old one still running) with the H-1?
