layoff before 180 days of 485 filing

I had my I-140 approved on April 29, 2004, with a receipt date of April 8, 2004.

The 485 has a receipt date of June 23, 2004, and i am going for fingerprinting in a few days. AOS, and EAD are also pending approval.

Now i have been told that i would be laid off in the next month or so. Which date would be the 180 days considered from the 140 filing date(April8), or the
485 filing date(June 23, 2004)?? Do i have to start my green card process all over again??

i am pretty confused..

salary cut etc

my company is willing to do what it takes to extend the employment until the 180 day period. This would mean a salary cut(amendement filed to H1).

at the end of the 180 day period, they would lay me off. i would get my EAD by then. i could use my EAD then, right?

do you see any problem with the proposed solution?

what about EAD

If i get my EAD approved in the 180 days, could i use it for my next job once the 180 days are over?
