Hello immigration gurus, as my name suggests, I am in deep trouble at the moment. My GC was going very well, LC approved, I-140 approved, priority date current, applied for Consular Processing. Suddenly my wonderful employer decides to lay-off this very loyal-employee. And my 6-yr limit is in 3mons time-frame. Situation couldn\'t have been worse !
After having read through several discussion groups, it seems like the only choice is to leave the country, come back after 1yr, and restart the process all over again ? Or change to a F1 or Visitor visa to stay in the country ?
If anyone has been through this before, and can share their experiences and the action taken, that will be wonderful.
