? Lawyer taking care of our case??

Hi,

We have a lawyer taking care of our case (filing out our paperwork etc.)

I gave him the Medical Exam to file with the paperwork on 9/25, he was suppose to send out all the paperwork on that Monday or Tuesday 9/26 but I have yet to receive anything in the mail.

My question is, does the paperwork go to the lawyer office, (ND or RD letter) or should I be receiving the letters.

I have tried to call the lawyers office, and honestly am so disappointed with the lawyer at this point. It stems from the very begining...I am at a point to just take it on myself versus going through him.

Does anyone know how that would work, could I just take it on myself?

hi,
i am not sure if you can take up the case yourself now--others on the board can help. but my understanding is that your lawyer will receive NDs/RDs on your behalf. your lawyer will then pass them on to you.

Thank you for the information. I did assume he must be receiving the letters as time has passed, but like I said I have had issues with him (no return calls etc.) so I don't know what to think.

He was excellent at the very initial meet but went downhill afterwards, it's jus so disappointing.

Hi! 3 of my friends had lawyers representing them( 3 different immigration cases) and in each case USCIS would send all correspondence to both- the applicant and his/her lawyer. So don't worry about getting notices, you will receive them from USCIS even if your lawyer doesn't take care of case at all.
As for your lawyer, it is definetely not good that he doesn't return your calls, if he doesn't do his job (returning calls is part of it) you could in your turn give him a hard time, there are ways!

I truly am very upset over this and have thought of things I could just say to him :eek: but figure I still have to deal with this guy so I am trying my best to keep my cool.

All I want is answers and if he doesn't return the phone call then I will never get them. I will try again today...
