My lawyer is asking for $500 additional for sending inquiries and requests to NSC (In their terminology they called it intervention) on my pending 485 application. Is this normally what lawyer charge for these kinds of services?

dude,

talk to congressmen/congresswomen or senator rather than an attorney if he is charging you....i had very good experience in FL and VA so try one in your state.
