Lawyer is not going to assist me!! Pls ADVISE URGENT

Hello Gurus,

I got a mail from my lawyer that he is not going to assist me because my previous company instructed him to do so. Actually I left my previous company in Dec 03 based on AC21 clause (But I have not informed INS about the same). I have changed my job after the approval of 140 and my 485 is pending more than 180 days. But my previous employer has not revoked my I-140.

Also as of now I have not received any RFE. As my lawyer is not willing to assist me so do I need to look for another lawyer or just to wait for the approval. If I do not go for another lawyer the do I need to do something else. Could you please advise me on this.

Thanking you in advance.

I would represent myself if I used AC-21. If I do so I would use G-28 form
to inform USCIS that I'm representing myself. In case of any complicated
RFE I would then get legal help from new attorney.

Sounds good. Thank you so much. I would also file G-28 for myself and if required I would go for Legal help later on.

Thanks a lot once again

Cheers...

Unless you have already done this, make sure your (old) lawyer sends you all the documents (485 reciept notice,240 approval notice etc). You might need them down the road.

Keeping copy of 485 makes sense.

140 approval notice is employers property and they wont give it to employees.
if u need this then use FOIA.
